The designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) has been conferred upon Cindy Steinbach of Mayville Insurance Agency, following her successful completion of a rigorous insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

The announcement was made by Dr. William T. Hold, President of the Society of CIC, who will confer this designation on Cindy in an official ceremony that will be conducted in Green Bay.

The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to professional insurance education. Its continuing education program is conducted in all states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rio. The Society of CIC is a key member of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, a leading source of instructive insurance literature and the nation’s preeminent continuing insurance education organization. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, The National Alliance is also comprised of the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR), Certified Risk Managers (CRM) International, and The National Alliance Research Academy.

Currently, there are 770 agents and insurance professionals in the state of Wisconsin who have earned the CIC designation and over 27,000 throughout the country, and Dr. Hold said this number is expected to increase significantly in 2005.

Cindy and other individuals who hold the CIC designation have demonstrated their professional competence through a combination of experience, formal training, and a series of comprehensive written examinations focusing on all major fields of insurance, insurance management, and agency operations.

Cindy, along with her husband Brad, own Mayville Insurance Agency located at 34 S. Main Street in Mayville. This family owned business has been in operation for over 55 years. They are an independent agency, which means they represent many different companies, not just one. The agency has a fully licensed staff of five and offers home, auto, commercial, life and health insurance.
